The Perfect Late Summer Night

After a string of successful performances at Historic Downtown Ventura's Peirano's Restaurant, the Brian Faith Band will be returning on Friday, August 23rd.

Peirano's is a great restaurant in one of Ventura's original and most recognized buildings. What Ventura native, or lover of Ventura, can deny that the hand painted parrot mural on the outside west wall isn't indelibly burned into their memory?

As if its location across Main Street from Mission San Buenaventura and beside a large fountain aren't enough, Peirano's has excellent food and bar menus and are now spotlighting equally excellent live music.

The original building was established in 1877 by Alex Gandolfo, an Italian immigrant who opened it as a general merchandise and grocery store. Within a few years after the store’s original opening, Mr. Gandolfo arranged the immigration to California of his young nephew, Nicola Peirano, who lived in rooms above the present kitchen and helped with the business which ran uninterrupted for over a century.

With summer beginning to wind down, I can't think of a better way to spend a Friday night than to enjoy their Ventura Beach Linguine and a bottle of chardonay while listening to the Brian Faith Band. If that's a bit industrious, why not kick back with some great music, a piece of Molten Dark Chocolate Cake and a couple of glasses of merlot? And if even that is too much, there's nothing wrong with just coming in to catch the band on a late summer night!

Whatever your plans are on Friday, August 23rd, include the Brian Faith Band at Peirano's!

For times and reservations, please visit Peirano's website, where you'll find their phone number.
